AT&T Mobility Wireless Data Services Sales Tax Litigation
After being selected as class counsel for the California Class, Mr. Morris negotiated, along with national counsel, the settlement of a significant part of one of the largest consumer class-action cases in U.S. history. Our firm represented a California class of AT&T Mobility customers against AT&T Mobility in a case claiming that the telecommunications giant had improperly charged sales tax on internet access service, and then passed those taxes along to multiple taxing jurisdictions throughout the state. A settlement was reached in record time and refund requests were then successfully recaptured from over 150 California cities.
